How to Incorporate Your Dog in Your Wedding Without Them Being There

Dogs are our family and there are some events we do not want them to miss: like their parents getting married! While some venues are dog friendly, a lot are not (especially if you have a church wedding). Even though Charlie is in our wedding, I know a lot of dog parents who can’t have their pups there. So I found a few alternative options to incorporate your dog on your wedding day!

  1. Signature cocktail signs: A cocktail sign is a fun way to add your dog to your wedding. You can name a drink after your dog or just have it say ‘Your dog’s signature cocktails” like we did. Either way ‘Ivory and Sage Co‘. was a dream to work with. Christina is so kind and does phenomenal work. Would definitely recommend her for all your wedding detail needs.
  2. Coasters: ‘For Your Party’ can personalize any party item you need from cups, napkins, coasters etc. We used them for our favors, to go/popcorn cart bags, and cocktail napkins.
  3. Napkins: Cocktail napkins are a fun way to add personalization to your wedding. ‘For Your Party’ can custom design them for you.
  4. Framed Photos: A great way to have your dog there by placing photos throughout. It can be of you with your dog or just your dog.
  5. Doggie bags: For to-go desserts or popcorn cart (like we did). ‘For Your Party’ again was wonderful to work with.
  6. Thank you tags: So cute to place on favors. ‘For Your Party’ can make them however you want to design them.
  7. Custom Cookies: Can be decorated of your dog for dessert or as a favor. A couple websites can take a photo of your dog and turn it in to a cookie cutter. Most bakeries if you bring the cookie cutter to them will use it to bake with and then decorate your dog as desired!

Hope this helped any future couples out there who wanted to include their pets but weren’t sure how!
