Italian Honeymoon Itinerary

This has taken me 2 months but FINALLY here it is! Our Italian vacation (delayed honeymoon) itinerary. We went to Florence for 3 nights, Positano for 3 nights, and Rome for 2 nights. I definitely wish we had at least one more night in each city, but it was still spectacular.

Florence

Day one:

-Flew in to Rome and then took the train to Florence.
-Checked in to Hotel Milu

-Lunch- A’llantico: HUGE sandwiches. It always has a long line but moves fast!

La Badia– ordered spritz. Such a cute vibe

Rooster– cocktails. I loved this place. it was just close to our hotel and had cool vibes. 10/10

Lagiostra : best meal in Florence. Definitely need a reservation and it’s geared toured tourists, but I didn’t care the food was so SUPERB

Day two:

-Went to Accademia and Uffizi Gallery

Art bar– cocktails. It is run by one little old man who took so long to make cocktails but when he presented it it was truly art. Don’t come here if you’re in a rush. it literally took an hour to get one drink 😂. They were delicious though.

La Bussola-dinner. Great pizza!

Day three

-Winery tours in Tuscany through Viator.  Casa Emma and Fattoria Montecchio. Provided transportation.

Mercado centrale for lunch

-Drinks and small plates at Angel Rooftop at Hotel Calimala (so expensive. My drink was 18 euro😂) Cool views and vibe though.

Signorvino for a wine flight. Right on the Arno river. It is a wine store with a restaurant!

Odeon bistro for a night cap: best lemon drop martini I’ve had. Cool vibes

Positano:

Day 1

-Took the ferry from Solerno to Positano.

-Checked in to our hotel Villa Rosa

-Walked around town

Le Tre Sorelle wine room for drinks

Ristorante Bruno right by our hotel. Spectacular views

Day 2

-Breakfast and champagne in our hotel room

La pergola at Buca di Bacco- best limoncello spritz and pizza

-Bought ceramics at Emporio Della Ceramica

Da Vincenzo (I left so freaking full it was uncomfortable 😂)

-We went to Franco’s Bar after dinner but it was expensive so we left 😂

Day 3:

Valenti limoncello tour- so cute

-Sandwiches at Latteria

-Dinner at Buca di Bacco. We made reservations  at La Tagliata because I heard rave reviews. They change the menu all the time and grow all their food right there. They provide a complimentary shuttle, however it came to us and they told us it was full and it would be 15 min longer. So we said ok and then waited over an hour with no shuttle ever showing up. We asked for a taxi and it was 50 euro so we chocked it up to loss at this point and walked to Buca di Bacco and still had a delicious meal.

Rome:

Day 1: Took the train from Sorrento to Rome. Checked in to our hotel Princeps Boutique. Lunch at Trieste Pizza: superb pizza

-Colosseum and Roman Forum tour

-Dinner at La Taverna Dei Fori Imperiali- OUR BEST MEAL OF THE TRIP. Tim got carbonara and I got black truffle ciacio de Pepe

Day 2:

-I turned in to a toddler on vacation. Pouting and complaining about walking and my chub rub . We did the early bird Vatican tour and I loved it. It was so cool to see.

-Lunch at Pane e Salame : DELISH sandwiches and cheese board.

-Dinner at La Carbonara : the best carbonara I’ve ever had. Their house red was also delish and they gave us so much 😂

-Gelato for dessert. I don’t remember the place but anywhere is good!
