Wedding Outfits for Your Dog

Dogs are a part of our family and to most of us our children. When I dreamt of planning a wedding I never thought I’d be so concerned about what my dog was going to be wearing, but I couldn’t imagine our wedding without Charlie there so here we are.

It took me some time to decide on what Charlie was going to be wearing. I thought about a bowtie, but sometimes his floof covers it and I wanted him to look his best. I thought about a bandana, but he wears one every day so it wouldn’t be as special. I then thought about a flower collar and I’m so glad to have decided on it. My florist Gregory from Flou(-e)r is a floral angel and I know will make Charlie look STUNNING for his role as Best Dood

I rounded up a few different options from bandanas, leashes, and bowties to help spark your ideas of what you want your dog to wear!

  1. The Foggy Dog has most of my favorite options for bowties. They are well made and you can get them with a matching collar. Their large bowties are also easily seen on the fluffiest of dogs. Some of my favorite options from The Foggy Dog are listed below. If you use CHARLIE10 you can receive 10% off at checkout.
  2. Crew LaLa is another company that has very chic stylish bowties for your dog. I don’t own any for Charlie so I cant speak to how they look on him, but I always love their patterns and colors. Some of my favorite options from Crew LaLa are listed below.
  3. Dapper Dexter is a new found favorite for bowties for us. They are sturdy and the perfect size for dogs with maximum floof like Charlie. They have fun patterns and brighter colors, but also classics. Some of my favorite options from Dapper Dexter are listed below.
  4. Bandanas are also another option for your dog. I didn’t go with a bandana because Charlie always wears one, so it didn’t feel as special to me. Below are a few different options from the classic ‘Dog of Honor’, a floral option, and your standard suit bandana.
  5. Leashes: I wanted a crisp new leash for Charlie for our wedding that would be aesthetically pleasing and fit in with our theme. We got ours from The Modern Woof, but I have found a few similar options from other companies below.
  6. A Flower Collar: We ultimately decided on a flower collar for Charlie for our big day. We thought it would really stand out while keeping with the aesthetic of our wedding. My florist Gregory was SO excited when I told him I wanted Charlie in a flower collar. Most florists can make this for you if you ask.
    • If you’re in the Boston area my florist is Flou(-e)r and I cannot recommend them enough ( I haven’t even gotten to our wedding date yet, but I am that confident in their abilities that I would recommend them before even seeing the finished product).
    • Two Stems of Joy is also another Boston area florist who has made a floral collar for Charlie, which came out adorable.
    • Buds, Beach Plum Floral, and Central Square Florist are other Boston based florists who I’ve seen make floral collars that have come out phenomenal.

If you’re getting married soon or just like to dress your dog up, I hope you found my finds helpful in sparking ideas for your dog on your special day!
