Dood it's Cocktail Hour

Places in Boston to get a cocktail/kit to go

Restaurants in Boston have been thinking of creative ways to still make money while enduring the hardships COVID-19 has brought upon the food industry. A lot of restaurants have been selling ready to go cocktails/cocktail kits for you to enjoy in the comforts of your own home. With not all restaurants open for patio seating yet I have rounded up a few restaurants to share with you guys in Boston so you can enjoy signature cocktails on your own patio!

  • Citrus and Salt (Back Bay): Cocktail mixes available to create their signature drinks. Citrus and Salt is one of my favorite bar for Mexican inspired cocktails in the city. The vibe is fun. The decor is fun. The cocktails are fun. I love their drinks and they have THE BEST names for them. Try the Beautiful Liar, a soft serve mimosa, or my favorite Tequila is Cheaper than Therapy. Just add tequila at home!
  • GrandTen Distilling (Southie): Bottled ready to drink cocktails for delivery or pickup. We recently tried these and highly recommend. They are delicious and definitely don’t skimp on the alcohol to mixer ratio😂.
  • Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar (Southie): Margarita kits to-go to create their signature drinks like The Britney or El Jefe. Just add tequila!
  • Fat Baby (Southie): Drink kits to go so you can experience their Mai Tais or spicy margaritas. Just add alcohol!
  • Saltie Girl (Back Bay): Mimosa kit available. Comes with a bottle of Veuve and a variety of juices such as pineapple, peach, and blood orange. You can either call them or email at info@saltiegirl.com to place your order on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Eataly (Back Bay): I truly love Eataly’s frosé. This kit includes one bottle of rosé, one half bottle of Brachetto (a red wine), and lemon simple syrup. Definitely read the directions and freeze the rosé for a few hours before you try and blend. I learned the hard way. Mostly because I didn’t bother looking up directions. Shop through DoorDash, Instacart, or Caviar.
  • Lone Star Taco (Cambridge/Allston): Cocktail mixes to create their signature drinks and bloody marys. Add your own alcohol.
  • Barcelona Wine Bar (Brookline/South End): They have a gintonic cocktail kit available, which includes tonic and garnishes (gin not included). They also have sangria for order.
  • Publik House (Brookline): While they do not have cocktails for order, you can get growlers of their beer selection (which is quite vast) and while you’re at it order some of the mac & cheese.
  • Yellow Door Taqueria (South End/ Lower Mills): You can purchase their margarita mixes to craft your perfect drink at home! Just add your own tequila!
